Robocolt is a robotics club affiliated with FIRST--For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. Every year, the club has six weeks to design and build a robot that fulfills certain requirements and accomplishes specific goals. FIRST comes up with a new game every year; the challenge lies in creating a robot that will succeed in the game within the allotted time. Not only does this promote creativity and engineering and teach valuable skills, it also provides the teenangers an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and skills in the areas of mechanical and electrical engineering.
